So clearly, my calling in this life is not as a psychic.  If you’re a fan of the site, you may remember a little prediction I made a few months back regarding the film Push.  To quote the original post:

The future of Push?  It’s empty.

Well, it turns out I was wrong.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, not only does Push have a future, but that future seems to be on the small screen (which conceivably means hours upon hours upon hours of badness).

In case you don’t remember the original, here’s a taste:

I know it looks cool.  We’ve been over this before, or have you forgotten?  Cool-looking does not make up for bad acting.  And sub-par writing.

Apparently the TV version of Push will be penned by X-Men writer David Hayter (he’s also responsible for Watchmen, which is another good example of an awesome to look at, sometimes difficult to follow film), so the end result could really go either way.

There’s no production start date as of yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted on this one.  Let’s just hope Dakota Fanning is too busy filming  Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to make any guest appearances.
